Understand the Differences of Rubber Stamp

posted on 03/05/2021

What accompanied a business when it started? One of them is a good rubber stamp or seal. A company seal, also known as a rubber stamp, is mostly used in common law jurisdictions like Singapore. It is an official seal used by the company to endorse documents like share certificates, contracts and deeds. A rubber stamp has a vital use in companies, thus it is not something that can be easily owned by anyone. Generally, the stamp includes the company’s name, registration number and mailing address. But do you know there are different kinds of rubber stamps in the market? Let’s explore more about rubber stamps!

1. Traditional Rubber Stamp / Standard Rubber Stamp

Traditional rubber stamp is the most economical stamp as it is cheaper and can be used for a long time with proper care. However, it will require a stamp pad to produce impressions. It is troublesome to bring out as you have to bring along with the ink pad. The benefits of this rubber stamp is you can change the ink colour randomly depending on the ink pad you used.

2. Pre-Inked Rubber Stamp

Pre-inked rubber stamp is an oil-based ink stamp. It can produce a clear and best impression at every stamp up to 50,000 impressions. The pre ink rubber stamp does not need an ink pad as the ink in the stamp. The ink is easy to refill as Figure 1. Pre-ink rubber stamps allow you to print a simple graphic or logo on it which traditional rubber stamps can't do. Easitech is one of the rubber stamp makers in Singapore who offer a competitive price on rubber stamps. Also, customers can enjoy free delivery service when purchasing 2 pieces and above.

3. Self Inking Rubber Stamp

Self-inking stamp is a water-based ink stamp. It is with a built-in ink pad and easy to replace. This stamp can produce up to 10,000 impressions and great for rapid stamping. However, there is some noise when stamping and it’s impression clarity is not as high as a pre-inked stamp. Also, as mentioned this stamp contains water-based ink, so it can be washed off easily with water. Refer Figure 2 for the comparison of water based ink and oil based ink.
